Frequently Asked Questions

I Don’t Know If My Experience is “bad enough” To Be An Eating Disorder.

Things don’t need to be “bad enough” to seek support. If food or your body is ever bringing stress into your life, then they deserve a conversation. Disordered eating can show up differently in every person. I’m here to help figure out what may and may not be working for you and how we can use that to create the life you want.

Do You Only Treat Eating Disorders?

In addition to eating disorders, I treat anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I prioritize evidenced-based treatments and genuine connection to provide you with the tools you need to reach your goals. My theoretical approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

What is Cognitive Processing Therapy?

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a cognitive-behavioral treatment for PTSD. It is endorsed by U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Defense, as well as the International Society of Traumatic Stress Studies, as a best practice for treating PTSD. CPT focuses on identifying thoughts and beliefs that keep someone “stuck” in a negative past event.

Do You Accept Insurance?

I am out of network with insurance. I offer monthly superbills that may you submit to your insurance for reimbursement. If you are unsure whether you are eligible for reimbursement, please contact the Member Services phone number on the back of your insurance card and ask about your out of network mental health benefits. I bill using the following CPT codes:

90791 – Initial Assessment
